About JGR
 What is JGR?
        

JGR (speak 'Jaguar') is a universal and unified Graphical User Interface for R (it actually abbreviates Java Gui for R). JGR was introduced at the useR! meeting in 2004 and there is an introductory article in the Statistical Computing and Graphics Newsletter Vol 16 nr 2 p9-12


 What's new?

2007/08/22 - JGR Version 1.5 released. Please download a new launcher from the download page.
Also we have a new page specifically for Linux users with tips and hints.
2007/05/22 - JavaGD was updated to 0.4-2. This update is strongly recommended for everyone! JavaGD versions 0.4-0 and 0.4-1 caused JGR to crash very frequently. Use install.packages("JavaGD") in R or JGR(TRUE) from JGR to update.
2007/05/01 - JGR 1.4-17 was released and is available from CRAN.
2007/04/24 - JGR 1.4-16 was released to adapt to changes in R 2.5.0. It includes a few minor bugfixes as well. It is available from CRAN (e.g. use JGR(update=TRUE))
2006/10/10 - Download instructions have been updated to accomodate new functionality in R 2.4.0. Please note that you can always update JGR using update.packages() function in R.
2006/05/17 - JGR Version 1.4.1 for Mac released, fixing a problem with default packages.
2006/05/05 - JGR Version 1.4 supporting R 2.3.1 and higher is released, see download section. JGR and its packages are now available from CRAN which facilitates updates and improves availability for future R versions.
2005/10/18 - JGR Version 1.3 released, supporting R 2.2.0 on Windows, Mac and Linux.
2005/09/12 - JGR Version 1.3 released, supporting R 2.1.1 on Windows, Mac and Linux.
2005/05/13 - JGR Version 1.2 released, supporting R 2.1 on Windows, Mac and Linux.
2005/04/19 - The 2005 Chambers Award goes to JGR. Thanks for the numerous user contributions which made a good tool even better!
2005/02/24 - JGR 1.1a Released.
2004/12/23 - JGR 1.1 Released.
2004/11/24 - Updated binary to match any R 2.0.x version including 2.0.1 and patched versions.
2004/10/11 - JGR 1.0 Released.
2004/05/13 - Developer Previews seeded.
2004/05/12 - Screenshots added.
2004/03/18 - JGR page added.
